I haven’t come across peanut flour in Finland, so is there an alternative flour I could use so that it would still add up to 25cals/cookie :)? Thanks!

Hi Amanda
It’s not something that is stocked in many stores in Australia either. I order mine from iHerb.com who ship worldwide. I believe Amazon also sell it. Sadly, I don’t know of another alternative that is so low in calories – peanut flour is made by extracting all the high calorie fat from the nut. Good luck!Reply
You definitely deserve a medal for this! Can’t wait to try them

haha, thanks Jen! let me know how you go x

I finally made them – took a while to get the PB powder, and I am quite impressed. I loved just eating the batter too! this is a winner, thank you!!! keep em coming!

Would xylitol be ok to sub for the stevia?
Reply
Absolutely Anika! It has more calories than stevia, so wouldn’t be 25 calories, but it’s a great substitute.

Can I use PB2 as peanut flour?
Reply
Yes lovely – PB2 is peanut flour x

The lowest temperature for my oven is 200 so I baked them for 10 minutes at 200 and they seemed doughy and dense and not the least bit cookie texture . I followed the recipe except I used raisins in place of the sf chocolate. Suggestions?
Reply
Hey Linda. Is that 200 degrees celsius?
No, our oven is not celcius. Is the recipe celcius?
Reply
Hi, could I use GF all purpose flour instead?
Reply
I don’t think so Helen. Peanut flour is unlike other flours and it is the basis of the flavour for the biscuits.
Reply
Hello cookie makers! Just to clarify I believe 180 degrees Celsius is equivalent to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Do you have any other suggestions besides the chocolate chips, dried cherries or gogis? I am not a fan of cherries or gogis and can’t find sugar free vegan chips.

Anything you like my love! Raisins, chopped almonds, or even better, make raw vegan chocolate at home and break it up to add to the dough x

Just made and ate them all with my husband that was the tastiest little thing ever. We just lost 90 lbs and 125lbs since June with HCG diet and now we are in maintenance mode and Christmas time is harder than we thought it would be. But low and behold your absolutely amazing recipe. Thank you!!

Wow well done Lynne – thats an awesome achievement!! Its always difficult around Christmas but clean swaps like this one make it so much easier. So glad you enjoyed them!

So is peanut power the same as peanut flour?
Reply
Sorry Sandy, no idea what Peanut Power is!It should say 100% peanuts on the label.

Can you use almond flour instead of peanut flour? I have almond on hand out not peanut…I try to avoid peanuts.
Reply
Hi Julie – i haven’t tried it with almond as it has a different texture and is much higher in calories – but feel free to try it out an report back!

Do you know the carb count on these cookies
Reply
Not off the top pf my head – but you can the ingredients into http://www.myfitnesspal.com/recipe/calculator to work it out x
Is the 1 tsp of cinnamon correct? Mine turned out ok, but the cinnamon is pretty strong, and my cookies are much darker than yours. I did sub 1/2 brown sugar trivia and 1/2 regular stevia, but I still think the cinnamon seemed to be a little too much.
Reply
I love cinnamon, but feel free to reduce the amount. Some variations are stronger than others too. I used cassia cinnamon. x
Reply
These look great, I can’t wait to make them. Is the stevia you used, stevia extract powder, or a stevia blend like a stevia and erythritol blend?
Reply
I use a blend called Natvia. It works 1:1 like a sugar replacement xx
Reply
tasty but you could have mentioned that the reason they’re 25 calories is because they’re the size of a dime – that’s a little miseading
Reply
Haha! Mine were a bit bigger than a dime, but granted they’re not palm-sized either. Great for portion control!

Could I substitute PB2 (powdered PB) for the peanut flour? I think it’d increase the caloric count, but only a tiny bit and it’s available in stores so I wouldn’t have to buy it online.
Reply
Hey lovely! Yes PB2 is the same thing as Peanut Flour, with added sweeter and salt. Delish!

Hi, if I substitute the stevia with sugar free apple sauce instead, do you think it will be alright for this recipe?
Reply
Hi Rita! Stevia has zero calories, so adding apple sauce will increase the calorie content. I haven’t tried it myself, but it sounds like a tasty addition to me! Let me know how you get on x

Do you have all the nutrician facts somewhere?

You can enter the ingredients into MyFitnessPal online to work it out x

I had to double the size of these to make them cookie size. So mine are double the calories, but still good on calories, as far as a cookie goes. I didn’t need as much milk as the recipe called for, so I’m glad it said to add it a little at a time. The cinnamon was too overwhelming, and if I make these again, I will definitely cut down most of it.

Hey Suzy! The ones I made a small cookies, but still super on calories. The joy of making them to your own taste preferences and size – I eat SOO much cinnamon but ti can totally be left out if it’s not your thing. x

What could I subs for peanut flour? Oat fiber? Can’t do peanuts:( or any other nuts/legumes.
Reply
You need a fine flour. I havent tried oat flour myself and it would change the calories, but you could try the almond flour from PB2.

No lovely – that would be peanut butter. Peanut flour is the by-product of peanut oil.
You need to purchase it.Reply
