The Bradford Gun Club hosted the first league-wide, and hopefully not the last, Scholastic Youth Trap NY/PA shoot.
There were more than 160 shooters from the two states participating. New York brought teams from Cuba-Rushford, Bolivar-Richburg, Allegany-Limestone, Ellicottville, Portville and Salamanca. Pennsylvania brought shooters from Coudersport (Black Forest), Bradford, Oswayo Valley, Otto-Eldred and Smethport. Awards were given to the top eight shooters from NY & PA, as well as the top male and female shooters.
The NY/PA shoot was an awesome event, the weather, not so much, with cold temps and stiff breezes challenging the shooters. League organizers gave many thanks to the Bradford Gun Club for providing an awesome venue.
Pennsylvania took the top honors with an overall shoot of 375 over New York’s 358.
Otto-Eldred’s Gavin Silvis, with a 50, was the Event Top Gun Male, while Coudersport’s Kayle Emeson won the Top Gun Female with a 43.
